Designer Jules Reid presented her Spring/Summer 2010 collection this past weekend at the Sherman Pickey boutique in Georgetown (Washington, DC). The collection features bold and vibrant colors and prints with a vintage flair.
Spring/Summer 2010 is the first signature collection for the designer who is a native of Fredericksburg, VA. The intricate detailing utilized in some of her dresses are stunning. Reid uses colors in a way that is sure to grab your attention. As beautifully made as many of the pieces are, they are equally comfortable, which is not always the case in women's apparel.The designer notes that in her work she’s inspired by style icons Emilio Pucci and David Hicks. This collection inspires the look of casual chic in an effortless manner.
Jules Reid spends her free time between homes in Virginia and New York where she lives with her husband, daughter and three young boys ages 9, 7 and 4. With the release of her recent collection and her Fall/Winter line due out in September 2010, the designer has already begun working on her Spring/Summer 2011 collection.
